Let us answer the questions you crave

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you don't see the information you are looking for, or if you have any additional questions, please email us! We'd be happy to get you the information you crave.

  • What makes Craved Weddings different from other wedding planners?
Craved Weddings is unique because in addition to wedding planning, we also offer wedding choreography for couples (or bridal parties) for their First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance or Mother/Son Dance. We also offer a step by step wedding planning checklist which outlines how to plan your wedding starting 12 months prior to your wedding date. This wedding planning checklist is available with or without a wedding coordinator and can be purchased as a checklist only, or as a Checklist with a Day Of Coordinator. These packages, along with our Partial or Day Of wedding planning packages, are all separate from one another and although you may certainly use Craved Weddings for all of these services, you may only use one of them based on your needs! We want to make wedding planning as easy as possible and understand that not everyone may need a wedding planner during this time, but rather may need some direction with where to start and what to plan. Our wedding planning checklist covers everything from when to send your Save the Dates to when to have your final dress fitting! This checklist covers 12 months of wedding planning, all leading up to your big day and covers every detail. Our job is to make sure you aren't forgetting anything with your wedding planning! Plus, you get the perks of having a wedding coordinator at your fingertips for any questions you encounter while you're planning with the online checklist. To see more information regarding this package, visit our "Services" page.
  • Do I need a Day Of Coordinator?
Hiring a coordinator might seem like it doesn't fit within your wedding budget. Perhaps you have handled all of the planning leading up to the big day, and now you feel comfortable handing over the details to a friend or family member. Although family members or friends are willing to step in and help on your wedding day, they are also your wedding guests. I'm sure you would prefer they enjoy themselves on your wedding day, rather than have them stressing over the details and feeling overwhelmed by running the entire event themselves. We wouldn't want these valuable loved ones to miss any of the important moments with you on your wedding day. Let a professional coordinator step in and handle the entire event, from start to finish, allowing everyone to enjoy this special day. It is more affordable than you think, and definitely worth it to ensure for a stress-free wedding. Our coordinators are experienced to ensure a smooth and memorable day for all. Finding the right coordinator is key to enjoying the planning process. We recommend you choose someone who truly gets you and your overall vision for your wedding day. It's important for you to trust your coordinator and to vibe well with him/her as you will be spending a lot of time together leading up to (and on) your wedding day! Your coordinator essentially becomes part of the family. Craved Weddings would love to become part of your family and celebrate this joyous occasion with you, making it a day you'll cherish for years to come.
  • What's the difference between a Day Of Coordinator and a Venue Coordinator?
A venue coordinator is responsible for: - locking/unlocking the building - keeping bathrooms stocked and clean - controlling the lights and temperature for the building - overseeing the set up pertaining to the facility/space itself - any other logistics that relate to the function of the venue space A Day Of Coordinator is responsible for: - everything else! - producing the wedding timeline based on your vision, and leading the execution of the timeline on the wedding day - directing wedding rehearsal - directing processional and recessional - communication/lead contact person for vendors - setting up decor items, favors, escort cards, guestbook, sparklers, etc. - pinning on gentlemen's boutonnieres - overseeing the "flip" of ceremony/reception space - distributing vendor payments and tips - packing wedding gifts for couple - acting as personal assistant for couple on wedding day For a more detailed explanation of what a Craved Weddings Day Of Coordinator will do for your wedding, including pricing information, visit our "Services" page.
  • What are your packages and pricing?
Craved Weddings offers four different packages: 1. Wedding Planning Checklist (12 month printable wedding planning checklist) - without a Day Of Coordinator (checklist only): $150 - with a Day Of Coordinator: starts at $1,500 2. Partial Planning, which starts at $2,350 3. Day Of / Month Of Coordination, which starts at $1,350 4. Dance Choreography, which starts at $500 For a detailed explanation of what each of these packages include for your wedding day, visit our "Services" page and see the lists of each description.
  • Do you offer a more inclusive, full-service wedding planning package?
At this time, Craved Weddings only offers a package to do Partial Planning (3 months prior to wedding) or Day Of Coordination (month prior). However, if you are looking for a little bit more help than what is outlined in either of these packages, please email us with what you are looking for. We are always open to the idea of creating a custom package for the needs you crave to make your dream wedding come true! We are also happy to recommend any full-service planners in the area, should this be what you are looking for.
  • Is your wedding choreography package the same as doing dance lessons?
Couples who choose our choreography package will spend some time rehearsing with us, similar to that of a typical dance lesson. However, the rehearsal time spent with Craved Weddings will be to learn the choreography for your choice of dance (first dance, father-daughter, mother-son, or bridal party) and will not be spent learning how to dance a particular dance style. Once the couples have learned the choreography created by Craved Weddings, they will rehearse with us leading up to the wedding day, to make sure they feel comfortable with the steps and ready to dance them at their wedding! For more details on out choreography package, please view our "Services" page.
  • Do you charge for an initial consultation?
No! Our initial consultation is an opportunity for us to get to meet each other and discuss your goals and vision for your wedding. During our consultation we will discuss what it is you are looking for in a planner, any wedding plans or ideas you have already established, and how we can help you create the wedding you crave! This is also an opportunity for us to become more comfortable one another, as you trust us to take over the details and execution of your wedding day!
  • Do you travel?
Yes, we do! Although we are based in Charleston, SC, we are willing to travel to other parts of the world to help you create the wedding you crave. Whether it be a destination wedding (with the destination being here in Charleston, or elsewhere) or a wedding in your local town, we would be happy to discuss with you how we can help you achieve your dream wedding. Depending on our availability and the time needed to coordinate your wedding, we can create a custom travel package based on your needs. Custom travel packages will start at each package price listed, and build from there to include travel arrangements and any other necessary planning details for your wedding. All of our current packages (Partial Planning, Day Of Coordination, Design and Decor, and Wedding Choreography) can be applied to any weddings that would require us to travel outside of the Charleston area.
  • Do you work with same sex couples?
Absolutely! We have a passion for what we do and we give our whole hearts to every couple we work with - hoping to make their wedding as special and unique as they are.
  • What if I am not local?
Not a problem! All of our current wedding packages (Partial Planning, Day Of Coordination, Design and Decor, and Wedding Choregraphy) require only a few times where we would need to meet in person prior to the wedding day. Depending on where you are having your wedding or doing your wedding planning from, we may include a travel fee to your package. Not sure if your wedding would include this travel fee? Send us an email and let us know where you are and we will let you know if your wedding would include a travel fee or not (we'd also include the price of this fee).
  • Do you bring an assistant coordinator?
We find that most weddings will only require one coordinator. However, if Craved Weddings determines that your wedding will need an additional coordinator, we will bring an assistant coordinator. Assistant coordinators needed to facilitate day of coordination duties will be billed at an additional charge. The decision to bring an assistant coordinator is at the sole discretion of Craved Weddings. This is of course determined by specific details pertaining to your wedding (for example: the amount of decor to set up, locations of ceremony and reception, number of guests, and other details pertinent to the seamless execution of your wedding day).
  • Do you have a minimum wedding budget requirement?
No. We work with couples of all wedding budgets. Our goal is to help you create the wedding you crave, regardless of the size of your budget. We pride ourselves in producing a smooth and stress-free wedding for all, so that precious and enjoyable moments from your wedding will make for lasting memories to be cherished by all who attend.
  • How far in advance should I book one of your services?
There is no requirement or deadline for when you need to book our services by. However, keep in mind the amount of time it may take leading up to your wedding, for Craved Weddings to successfully produce your wedding. It is also important to keep in mind that Craved Weddings might already have your wedding date booked with another couple, so the sooner you can commit to hiring a wedding planner - and lock in your wedding date - the better! Here is an example timeline on when you should have committed to using Craved Weddings services, based on the package you choose below: 1. Partial Planning - should ideally be booked at least four months prior to your wedding date for optimal service and planning 2. Day Of Coordination - should ideally be booked at least two months prior to your wedding date as the services involved take about one month to produce, prior to the wedding date 3. Wedding Choreography - should ideally be booked about two months prior to your wedding as there are a few rehearsals leading up to the big day Email us to check if your wedding date is available!
